The business mentor
Vincent Herbert, Chief Executive Officer
As the Chief Executive Officer of PQ Licensing S.A., Vincent Herbert manages the company-owned
operations in the U.S. and France as well as the international franchise business. Vincent is the
driving force behind a successful corporate structure and strong economic model.
Rooted in Alain’s philosophy of using organic ingredients and environmentally friendly practices,
Vincent implemented a triple bottom line approach to business at Le Pain Quotidien. This
approach measures the company’s health not only by the financial bottom line, but also by our
effort to be responsible global citizens. We align our business values and behavior to create a
balance between improving the wealth of the business, while fostering a healthier community and
planet.
Vincent began his career in 1987, working for JP Morgan. Then in 1989, he joined the Prince Albert
Fund, a highly prestigious program created by the Prince of Belgium to give talented Belgian
professionals the opportunity to work abroad in international business development. While with the
Prince Albert Fund, Vincent worked in London, Singapore and New York. In 1990, he joined the
Bank Brussels Lambert ING in New York, where he worked until 1999 as the Treasurer.
Vincent grew up in Belgium and graduated cum laude from the University Antwerp UFSIA where he
studied International Business Affairs and received a Masters of Business Administration in 1987.
Vincent currently resides in New York City with his wife and three children.
